major downtime till after 4 aug..
- just finished 1 proj n presentation last thu..
- rushing 1 report for coming tue..
- exam coming the week after..

really rushed..

i will be working here from oct 17 to jan 4..

world cup...

wanted to write this on sun.. but was caught up with proj n exam..
so one exam down yesterday...
i got a bit of time and mood to write this..

whenever something "big" like world cup happened and completed...
i got this feeling that the world changed a slight bit..
a very slight bit.. as if i have entered a parallel dimension...
it is like the whole world found out abt the result of something big..
then it triggered a series of events whose impact would be felt some years away..

it is just a feeling of renewal.. not doom.. just like electricity in the air .. but fading..
just may be that some years down.. i will find out wat changed n how it impacted me. :P

independence day 06..

july 4... independence day for usa... i was very busy initially.. but i decided to go out that nite no matter wat.. since i shld not miss this chance to see how other pple spend their 'national days'...

so i checked the web.. found this place in oakland (5 mrt stops away) called jack london square.. had to run there.. cos i decided to go at 715pm.. the fireworks would start at 915pm.. u must know trains n bus not so frequent in usa...

anyway... i arrived there at 815pm.. so the summer sky was already turning dark liao.. still quite bright by singaporean standard though..

the sunset.. artistic anot? that were railway tracks on the road in front of the square..

trying to be artistic here again.. anyway.. wat is independance day without some photos of the american flag ..
